Why do kids love them so much?

Are kids-umbrellas loved so much because they can swing them around, hit them into a puddle or is it because they can play 'swords' with them?

Whatever the answer is, the fact remains kids love umbrellas. What nicer present to give than an umbrella that matches with their boots and or rain coat?
